Since launching our ON-FIRE Conversations webinar series in December 2025, we have been bringing together experts from across the UK and beyond to share knowledge about frontotemporal dementia (FTD) and related conditions. These monthly sessions aim to provide educational materials, but also a space for Q&A, active discussions and sharing expertise – they have quickly become a valuable resource for our growing network of collaborators, clinicians, researchers, and anyone interested in FTD.
A Strong Start
The series began with Dr Richard Bevan-Jones, who delivered an excellent introduction to behavioural variant FTD (bvFTD), setting the tone for what has become an engaging and accessible educational programme. Most recently, Dr Shalom K Henderson from Boston University joined us to discuss primary progressive aphasia (PPA), offering valuable insights into the language variants of frontotemporal dementia.
The response has been wonderful, with participants from across our network and beyond joining these sessions to deepen their understanding and/or sharing their knowledge of the diverse presentations and challenges within the FTD spectrum.
